  1. the rail strips go quite a-ways up the board, which is just a style thing that i"ve been developing. I like to use as many strips at thin widths as i can, as this is the strongest part of my wooden skin. the shape of the board itself is only about an inch thick at the rails, and up to about one and 7/8 at the center (if i remember correctly).
